Meet the Team
We are a team of brother and sister and we are both passionate about sports and outdoor life. This project was born out of the desire to share our refuge from the city, and so we have transformed our little spot into a place that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Filipe (co-founder, in charge of outdoor activities)
As a nature and sports lover, Filipe has broad experience of outdoor sports and has been working in adventure and outdoor activities for the past 8 years. He has been water-skiing since he was a child and is an expert with skis. At Out of Town he is in charge of water sports and his job is to make sure that you get the best experience in a fun and safe way.
Rita (co-founder, in charge of accommodation)
Rita loves outdoor life. She is experienced in tourism and management but has always been happiest in contact with nature. She is also concerned about our ecological footprint, and cares about healthy food and an active lifestyle. At Out of Town she is in charge of accommodation but she also loves cooking and whenever she can, she grabs vegetables from the garden to prepare great snacks.
Maria is a sports teacher with more than 30 years’ experience, and sports are, of course, her passion. She has a wide experience in education and in organizing outdoor activities, making her, a key member of the Out of Town team. She is responsible for organizing everything to make sure that all is ready on your arrival. She also helps out with water sports whenever needed and she hopes to see you here soon.
Pepe (outdoor activities)
Pepe has extensive experience in outdoor sports and has been working in adventure activities for the past 10 years. He loves music, sports and lots of adrenaline. At Out of Town he is in charge of canyoning and pedestrian routes.
Dona Arminda & Senhor Artur (Garden)
Dona Arminda and Senhor Artur are a nice couple that have been working in agriculture for the past 50 years. At Out of Town Hostel they are responsible for keeping the garden beautiful and responsible for taking care of all vegetables and fruit trees.
